Fundraising Support
Most bands subsidize and depend on fundraising in order to afford their band tour. Our experience show that well planned fundraising strategy is the key to succeed in achieving the travel budget goal. Here are some guidelines for a successful fundraising drive.
- Establish a realistic goal for total fund raising budget.
- Start fundraising as early as possible, even more than a year ahead of travel date. Establish “milestone” dates and budget goals for these dates. Keep track of goal achievements and share it with all your team members and families.
- Assign individual fundraising goal to each band member. For further motivation, allocate certain part of the funds raised, towards the individual travel budget of the person who raised the funds. First target levels are for the team funds. Once that goal has been achieved additional raised funds go to the individual fund raiser
- Use variety of fundraising programs. There is no one “magic” fundraising drive to get all the funds you need.
Here is a list of some proven fund raising programs:
- Sell raffle tickets for donated merchandize and services.
- Find local companies to sponsor your band.
- Home made bakery stand sales.
- Garage Block Sales.
- Car washes.
- Major Holidays sales, such as 4th of July Fireworks sales.
- Supermarkets scripts sale.
