Welcome to Hawaii's Annual Prince Kuhio Day Parade!
Perform with great marching bands, concert
bands, drum lines, color guards, and drill
teams performing on the Island of Paradise,
Oahu, Hawaii!
Prince Kuhio Day Parade is a unique
opportunity for your band perform in
a nationally renowned Hawaii's state parade. In additional activities and sightseeing, your band members will learn and experience the Hawaiian
culture and heritage. Your band will also have more optional performances to choose from. Enjoy a great festival event
and special performance opportunities, combined with a memorable
vacation on a tropical island!
| Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole was born on March 26th 1871, in Koloa, Kauai, the youngest son of Kauai High Chief David Kahalepouli and Princes Kinoki Kekaulike. He is known as the “The Citizen Prince”, a well educated sportsman and statesman. Prince Kuhio served as a U.S. Delegate to the Congress, and was responsible for creation of the Hawaiian Homes Commissions Act, which provided homesteads for the native Hawaiians. Prince Kuhio passed away in January 7, 1922, at the age of 51. Prince Kuhio Day is a formal state holiday in Hawaii.
